Some prosecutors, when offering a reduction to a driver under 25 years of age, will make the deal contingent on the driver taking the alive at 25 course. Currently, the classes are scheduled in Onondaga, Montgomery, and Rensselaer counties.
The courses associated with this program are the usual DMV approved "defensive driving classes." These classes are online, or in classroom, take a little over 5 hours, and cost about $30-40.
