Driver License Compact,
an interstate agreement that requires member states to share information about traffic convictions.
The "Home State" Rule: If a South Carolina driver is convicted in a New York court of any speeding ticket or moving traffic infraction, the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) will process the conviction as if the violation occurred in South Carolina.
