If you are issued a ticket in almost any state (with minor exceptions like Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan), the out-of-state conviction will be posted directly to your driving record, and points will be assessed according to Nebraska law .

Insurance Premium Increases & NY DMV Assessments

Insurance Rate Increases: Most importantly, your auto insurance provider will almost certainly learn of your New York conviction when reviewing your updated Nebraska driving record during renewal periods.
