Nebraska Drivers: Effect of New York Traffic Ticket Convictions

by Seth Azria on 1/24/2023

If you receive a traffic conviction in New York State, Nebraska will be notified of the offense as both states are members of the Driver License Compact.

If you are issued a ticket in any state (except Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan) the conviction will be posted to your driving record and points will be assessed according to Nebraska Law

If you are an Nebraska driver and want to obtain a copy of your driving record, you may do so here.

Insurance Premium Increases are Still a Concern
Most importantly, it is likely your insurance company will learn of your New York conviction and may increase your premiums or drop coverage. It remains important to mitigate the charge as much as possible.

Our goal at Azria & Bruffett is to minimize the effect of your New York traffic ticket both in New York and in your home state. Extremely pleased with this Law Firm. Super easy to work with online, everything was handled wonderfully, with full communication during every step in the process. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone.

Do not hesitate to hire him!

Me and a friend got in legal trouble in a town about 4 hours away from where we live. The charge was very threatening, and we expected to be dealing with it for months with little hope that it would go in our favor. We ended up having all of the charges dropped in the first appearance within about 40 minutes. Words cannot describe how much weight has been lifted off of our shoulders at a very modest price. Forever grateful for spending the time to research and find this excellent lawyer!

Best Lawyer in Syracuse!

I found Mr. Bruffett after calling several lawyers in Syracuse. I had 6 outstanding tickets that I completely blew off and forgot about until I was arrested in NYC over a suspended license. Mr. Bruffett was able to get ALL of my tickets reduced with NO POINTS and he also got 2 tickets dismissed. When I first met him, it was the most pleasant experience one could ask for. He's one of the few lawyers who actually cares about YOU and not your money. He quoted me an extremely reasonable amount for all 6 tickets. I never had to step foot into a court room and he has a great relationship with the DA and he was able to work something out that was in my best interest. I feel a huge relief knowing all of my tickets are over with, and I could not thank Mr. Bruffett enough. He also gave me his personal phone number and I was able to text and call him whenever I needed him. Before I even retained him, I had a question and texted him and he called me and walked me through the entire process. I highly recommend Mr. David Bruffett and his firm Azria & Bruffett. Thank you for everything David, and although I hope I never have to retain you again, if anything should ever happen, you'll be the first person I go to.
Sincerely, Casey N.
