Texas Drivers: Effect of New York Traffic Ticket Convictions
by Seth Azria on 3/19/2023
If you receive a traffic conviction in New York State, Texas will be notified of the offense as both states are members of the Driver License Compact.
If the Texas Department of Public Safety is notified by another state that you have not complied with the terms of a traffic citation, you will be provided notification that your Texas driver license will be revoked until evidence is received that the citation has been satisfied. The Department will review offense that had it been committed in Texas, would be grounds for a suspension or disqualification. More on Out-of-State Offenses.
